Erin Merchant
Erin is a senior biomedical engineering student in the Honors College from Windham, Maine. She serves as the Communicator for the Flovolution team.
On campus, Erin completed her Honors Thesis in the Townsend Laboratory, and her project was to design a platform to detect peripheral neuropathy associated with diabetes earlier in the disease than current methods do. She has interned in the Kaczorowski Laboratory at Jackson Labs in Bar Harbor, and completed a co-op at IDEXX Laboratories in Westbrook as part of the Rare Reagent Design and Development research group.
When she is not in class or working, Erin enjoys include hiking, downhill and cross-country skiing, adventuring with her dog Zoey, traveling, and boating on Little Sebago Lake, her home.
