Chemical Detector for Firefighters
The Problem
Firefighters works in perilous environments, they cannot always be notified of the dangers of an emergency scene especially if those dangers are not readily apparent. Thus, they are prone to increased risk of on-the-job injuries, decreased quality of health, and potential for premature death. Dangerous levels of bio-hazardous compounds, such as carbon monoxide and other toxic gases, are of particular concern. Gas detection devices can reduce the risks of injury that firefighters are exposed to.
