43rd Annual UNB Coaster Derby
43rd Annual UNB Coaster Derby was held October 21st at The University of New Brunswick in Canada. It was a great showcase of everyones engineering skills as there were many differently designed cars. With 9 cars competing it was an exciting day with events such as time trials, steering, and head to head races highlighting the day. As a club we had 7 drivers compete in the many events. During the head to head races Emily Greaney took home UMaine’s first win passing our opponent just before the finish line. Julia Rider also finished with a win to place us 5th place out of the 9 teams participating. The end of the day was capped of with us winning the award for Best Designed Coaster Car. We thank University of New Brunswick for a great day and look forward to competing again next fall.
