NECN Posts UMaine Trash Analysis Report
The New England Cable News website posted an Associated Press article about a University of Maine School of Economics study that found about 60 percent of household trash thrown out in 17 sampled communities across the state could have been diverted from the waste stream at significant cost savings through composting or recycling. The Natural Resources Council of Maine also posted on its website a Maine Public Broadcasting Network report about the study.
