Coverage of Martin Luther King Jr. Day Event
Several media outlets covered Monday’s 16th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day Breakfast, which was held at UMaine’s Wells Conference Center. The Bangor Daily News noted the focus of the event was on education and King’s vision for how American children should learn — regardless of race, social or economic standing. Phyllis Brazee, a UMaine professor emerita of education, was in a photograph that accompanied the story. Bangor television stations WABI and WLBZ also had stories about the breakfast.
