UMaine political scientist Mark Brewer was interviewed by Bangor television station WLBZ about the differences between the primaries and caucuses held during an election season. Among the differences, Brewer said, is caucuses yield lower voter turnout because of the time commitment, but cater to a more grassroots campaign style.
