Juan Aviles holds an MS degree in Roads and Transport from the Universidad de Cuenca, Ecuador, as well as MS degree in Intermodal Transport from the Universidad de Cataluña, Spain. Juan has cultivated his career as a dedicated transportation consultant, with a primary emphasis on projects related to highways, transportation, and traffic systems. Currently, Juan is pursuing a Ph.D. degree at the University of Maine in the area of Transportation Engineering. His research is dedicated to the domain of transportation safety and operations, where he employs statistical analysis and Machine Learning to derive insights about roadway safety and operations.
