Hypothesis:

Having well-designed entrepreneurial revenue sharing programs broadly available at the University of Maine will increase enrollment and revenu

Methods:

  • Focus group discussions
  • Impact analysis
  • Comprehensive data analysis identifying top-growing programs at UMaine and peer institutions

Key Factors for Program Design and Implementation:

  • Align incentives with growth-oriented behaviors
  • Prioritize repairing and rebuilding trust as an essential first step
  • Establish clear guidelines and effective communication between administration and participating programs on growth expectations and the use of returned revenue
  • Discussion is needed to determine whether shared revenue is returned to the program unit or the college
  • Ensure equal access while balancing the needs of participating and non-participating programs
