Provost’s Fellow: Meghan Wilson Duff

Two complimentary ideas focusing on prospective students’ and visitors’ first impressions of campus, as well as current students, staff, faculty and community members experience:

Improve and maintain high foot traffic areas on campus where people cross paths regularly and convene:

  • UMaine: Develop the North Mall and improve and plan for the future of University Mall, as well as the major foot path that come into these areas
  • UMaine Machias: Develop the area around the pond

Improve campus entrances to address entering campus by car and bus:

  • UMaine: Multiple road entrances and the bus stop platform
  • UMaine Machias: Two road entrances that are highly visible traveling through town
