Multiple promising opportunities to connect/enhance existing UG research programs/strengths to create a research learning pathway to positively influence student and faculty outcomes

Need for additional data to better understand:

  • Methods/approaches to expanding on existing strengths
  • Discipline-specific faculty/staff facilitators and barriers
  • Students’ needs, gaps, and interests
  • With a specific focus on students not currently engaged in research-related activities

Need for clear institutional goals to align/prioritize changes needed to support these efforts (e.g., faculty workload, promotion/tenure, funding for students and faculty lines) in synergy with other themes (e.g., meta majors)
