Opportunities:

  • Space Assessment:
  • To identify, understand and record how the University of Maine Orono and Machias are currently utilizing space for the consideration to consolidate space use from buildings with the most deferred maintenance to buildings with the highest maintenance upkeep
  • Centralized Scheduling Software:
  • Consideration of a centralized space scheduling software

Concerns:

  • Space Assessment:
  • Need to appropriately identify space use based on college, faculty, staff, student, and community needs
  • Centralized Scheduling Software:
  • Currently there are multiple ways to book space with most all bookings not linking to one another

Identified areas of need to support initiative:

  • Consideration of one centralized space scheduling software to reduce redundancy
