Multiple steps for the project were completed this week by the team. The two chassis parts were welded together thanks to Jake Davee, who will be helping us out with welding in the future as well. The struts, the canard strut, and the canard arm were all cut from foam and infused and just need to be sanded and coated. The team ran out of tacky tape so we were not able to do the rear foil however we did do all the setup work so it should be a quick process once that comes in. With the permission of John Belding, we will be able to use a 4 by 8-foot piece of glass that was found in the AMC to infuse on which will help with the infusing process. Next week the team hope to figure out how to connect the canard strut and arm, fabricate all the needed extra brackets, connections, etc., complete the infusion of the rear foil, and resubmit the third IR.
