Victor Lugo, MS, CF-SLP
Victor Lugo has taught Introduction to Communication Sciences and Disorders as well as courses on child language disorders. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Communication Science & Disorders at Florida State University and an Office of Special Education Programs Leadership in Language and Literacy Doctoral Fellow.
Victor studies how teachers and school-based speech-language pathologists in the U.S. can influence and shape education policy to make educational systems more equitable for students and educators. His current projects focus on education policy advocacy, teachers’ unions, and team science. His work has been published in peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of Speech, Language, and Hearing Research; Language, Speech, and Hearing Services in the Schools; as well as The ASHA Leader.
