Curious about what we do as a club?  Here’s a snapshot of past events and activities that we have participated in or organized over the past couple of years to give you a general idea of our history and what types of events you could expect to see in the future!

Fall of 2018: IDEXX and IL Trip

Last fall, we had the opportunity to visit IDEXX and IL! These two companies both have co-op opportunities for UMaine students, which are great ways to get a taste for what being an engineer is really like!

Fall 2017 and 2018: Girl Scout Outreach

We met with several Girl Scout troops and taught them about microfluidics and how to use microfluidic principles to create beautiful artwork!

Fall of 2017 and 2018: Acadia Trip

In the fall of 2017 and 2018 we went on a day trip to the beautiful Acadia National Park!

Fall 2017 and 2018: Doc Bowie

"Doc" Bowie (who is also now a Professor of Practice at UMaine) gave the club a presentation about his inspiring educational and career paths! Additionally, he also talked to us about DEEMI (the Downeast Emergency Medical Institute), the work the organization does, and how UMaine BEN students can work with him, and by extension DEEMI, to help improve rural emergency medicine through advances in technology!
