Coming Soon: University of Maine's 2018 Engineering Job Fair
The University of Maine’s annual Engineering Job Fair is right around the corner! This year, it will be on October 17, at the New Balance Student Recreation Center, from 10am-3pm! Students of all grade levels are encouraged to attend- whether you’re a freshman or senior going to the job fair offers a variety of opportunities! For underclassmen, the fair provides an excellent opportunity to see what types of engineering opportunities are available in Maine including co-ops, internships, and even full-time positions! Furthermore, they will be able to immerse themselves in the business and interview atmosphere: what proper interview attire is, what type of behavior is expected in this type of setting, what a good resume looks like, etc. For upperclassmen, the benefits are more obvious and tangible- the job fair is a great opportunity to connect with future employers, and ideally secure a co-op, internship, or even full-time position from one of the many companies that will be there!
Thus, regardless of your year in school, attending the job fair is certainly a worthwhile experience so mark your calendars today and make sure to go!
