Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES)

What is the Biomedical Engineering Society?  BMES is a professional engineering society that has a mission of, “promoting the increase and utilization of biomedical engineering and bioengineering knowledge and [works] for the advancement of the profession.”  BMES has many student chapters, including the University of Maine’s Bioengineering Club!  By being a member of our club, you can easily become a member of BMES by paying their annual dues and providing them with basic contact information!  Being a BMES member (and thus increasing overall BMES student chapter membership in the club) opens up opportunities for more funding for our club from BMES and chances to attend the BMES Annual Meeting and Regional Meetings, where we can connect with other bioengineering clubs across New England and the nation!
