The device contains an oxygen sensor which is used to alert the user of the percentage of oxygen present on-site. The graph illustrates the capabilities of the oxygen gas sensor and is representative of the linearity response.
The device is expected to be used in dark and low visibility environments thus, the device screen needs to be easily visible to the user. Screen visibility was measured using illuminance in the units of luminous flux per unit area (lux) and was tested as a function of distance from the screen to the end-users eye. Measurements were conducted using a mobile device application, Lux Light Meter Pro.
The shell of the device was created by employing standard Polylactic Acid (PLA) filament. The shell of the device is expected to experience frequent drops and maintain structural integrity. The drop test of the thinner shell proved that it acted as an effective concussion boot at the maximum height with a 100% pass rate.
