Mikaella Sansoucie

Mikaella Sansoucie is a senior Biomedical Engineering student with Mechanical Engineering and Molecular and Cellular Biology minors at the University of Maine. As team leader, she is responsible for facilitating group meetings and ensuring the project remains organized and all deadlines are met. Her minors provide her with a stronger background in structures and devices as well as biology down to the molecular and cellular scale. While taking classes, Mikaella works in a graduate research lab under Aileen Co and also works as a mentor for student athletes adjusting to life in college. She has also worked as a teaching assistant for introductory biomedical engineering classes (BEN 111 & BEN 112). Mikaella also spent the summer of 2019 interning at IDEXX Laboratories in the infectious disease R&D department, where she ran tests on current SNAP devices and wrote code in R/RStudio to analyze large volumes of data more efficiently.
