ADVIC in Action
Design Explanation
Placed on the roof of the car is a wide-angle camera, a LED white light, a black light, a sound detector and a temperature sensor.
All components are connected to a Raspberry Pi control center, or its associated relay.
A wall outlet is used as an outside power source.

Wide-angle camera | Can capture the entire interior of the car |
Raspberry Pi | Controls the system. Turns the lights on and off, makes the camera take a picture, performs the image subtraction, and communicates over wifi. |
White Light | LED light to illuminate the interior of the vehicle in captured images. |
Black Light | Illuminates body fluids in the interior of the car in captured images. |
Sound Detector | Detects coughs and sneezes as indicators of potential illness. |
Temperature Sensor | Detects the presence of passengers. |
