ADVIC in Action

Design Explanation

Placed on the roof of the car is a wide-angle camera, a LED white light, a black light, a sound detector and a temperature sensor.


All components are connected to a Raspberry Pi control center, or its associated relay.


A wall outlet is used as an outside power source.

Explanation

Wide-angle camera Can capture the entire interior of the car
Raspberry Pi Controls the system. Turns the lights on and off, makes the camera take a picture, performs the image subtraction, and communicates over wifi.
White Light LED light to illuminate the interior of the vehicle in captured images.
Black Light Illuminates body fluids in the interior of the car in captured images.
Sound Detector Detects coughs and sneezes as indicators of potential illness.
Temperature Sensor Detects the presence of passengers.

    -Trash, wallets, weapons, or dangerous items
