2018 Cardboard Canoe Race
The 3rd annual Cardboard Canoe Race was held Saturday September 15th. It was an exciting day with 22 participants, and with beautiful weather for the duration of the event. ASME changed the format this year to a distance traveled to increase the competition. With 6 teams participating it provided a great afternoon with many different designs. The top team was Yeet Fleet which was on the water for 10:50 and made it approximately 150 feet. Runner up was Titanic 2 witch traveled approximately 50 feet and lasted 3:45. With a great competition rapped up, the club looks to its next event which will be the UNB Coaster Derby in Canada.
