PSC Opens a Telehealth Clinic

The Psychological Services Center has opened a teletherapy program as a way to offer therapy to the
community during the time of quarantine and beyond. In response to the closure of in-person services
in March, we developed a telehealth program that allows us to continue providing services to our
ongoing clients and to reach beyond our local area to the rest of Maine. Clients attend their sessions
virtually through Zoom Health, a HIPAA compliant platform that provides a confidential video
connection between therapist and client. We are accepting referrals for a wide range of concerns,
including anxiety, depression, and adjustment difficulties, and serve all ages from adolescents to adults.
New clients participate in a phone screening to assess whether they are best matched with teletherapy
or with in-person services once the physical clinic reopens. In the future, we hope to serve children and
to provide a limited range of evaluations. People who would like to be a part of our teletherapy program
can refer themselves by calling (207) 581-2034.
