Boardman Hall
At the Mall entrance of Boardman Hall is a wrought-iron balcony and features numerous bays. Boardman Hall, well-known to engineering students, was built in 1949 and named for Harold Boardman, the first dean of the College of Technology in 1910 and UMaine president, 1926–33. On Boardman Hall’s south side is a civil engineering sculpture that is included on the Steel Sculpture List kept by the American Institute of Steel Construction.
