Here you will find information on your graduate student health insurance plan as well as other health and wellness resources across UMaine for maintaining your optimal wellbeing during your graduate study and beyond.
Student Health Insurance
All non-international undergraduate students enrolled in 9 credit hours or more and graduate students enrolled in 6 credit hours or more are eligible to enroll in the University of Maine System’s voluntary health insurance plan if they reside in the state of Maine while enrolled. Graduate Assistant Health Insurance is mandatory for all graduate assistants and fellows working 20 hours a week and earning a minimum monthly stipend, unless proof of comparable insurance is provided. Log in to Gallagher’s Benefit Dashboard to waive your graduate assistant health insurance if you are already insured elsewhere.

The Maine Bound Adventure Center plans adventures for students throughout the state and New England. They also offer equipment rentals and an indoor climbing wall!
