Rooted here in Maine but focused on the horizon, we prepare bright minds to meet the biggest challenges facing our state, region, and world.

Hands-On Learning Starts Now

At UMaine, education is as living and vibrant as Maine’s natural beauty, which students engage with through hands-on discovery before classes even begin.

Thanks to our standing as an R1 research institution, students can look forward to endless research and fieldwork opportunities, industry internships, and other programs that allow them to explore their interests beyond the classroom.
