WABI (Channel 5) and WVII (Channel 7) reported on the upcoming BioBlitz event hosted by School of Biology and Ecology Graduate Organization (SBE GO) from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 18–19. BioBlitzes, sometimes called biological censuses, are citizen-science events held worldwide to record observed plants, animals, fungi and other organisms in a given area within a specific timeframe, generally 24 to 48 hours. Participants in the SBE GO’s event will help document the number of organisms that reside on campus. Preregistration is encouraged on Eventbrite.
