Habib Dagher, executive director of the Advances Structures and Composites Center at the University of Maine, was featured in DW for his expertise in creating 3D-printed houses made entirely of bio-based materials, and how sustainable construction technology could address the Maine housing crisis. “The big issue was people printing homes with concrete and my concern was that particular technology had limitations and we wanted to see if we could do something that’s more renewable, more recyclable and more flexible than that,” said Dagher.
