Jin’s research focuses on food system innovation that is both economically-viable and environmentally-friendly.ย  She is specifically interested in finding value-added uses for food waste and food processing by-products.ย  This involves exploring advanced and cost-effective processing methods to obtain food ingredients, green chemicals, biofuels, and biomaterial from waste streams.
