Teaching
Dr. Leslie teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in coastal ecology, conservation science, social-ecological systems, science communication and engaged research, and marine ecosystem-based management.
In Fall 2025, she will teach an online graduate course introducing students to the diversity of ways we understand and assess marine systems. This course is designed for first and second year graduate students and professionals in the marine, environmental and sustainability sciences, and you can learn more about it here.
In Spring 2026, she will teach an undergraduate field and writing-intensive course, Biodiversity & Conservation, as part of Semester by the Sea at the UMaine Darling Marine Center.
Students interested in conducting a capstone project with Dr. Leslie at the DMC are encouraged to contact her with an email with the subject ‘Spring 2026 capstone’ no earlier than June 1, 2025.
