This course provides intense practice with habits of reading, writing, thinking, and revising essential to postsecondary academic work. Designed for students who want to create a strong foundation for themselves in academic reading and writing. Available only during fall semester. Students who complete ENG 100 move on to ENG 106 during the spring semester. Students will not earn credit or grades for completing both ENG 101 and either course in the College Composition Stretch Sequence, ENG 100 and ENG 106. Students must complete both ENG 100 and ENG 106 with a minimum grade of C or better in each course to satisfy the Core Curriculum First Year Writing requirement. Neither course taken alone will satisfy this requirement.
