Hey Black Bear! Before you apply, make sure to review the details of your housing application process and rates first:

the Spring 2026 Housing Application is now available!

All new, first-year, and transfer applicants for Spring may apply now. New Spring assignments will be released on January 3. Students may log back into the myHousing Portal to see the details.

Move-In Day is Sunday, January 18.

the fall 2026 housing application will be available:

  • Starting January 18, 2026 for current residents
  • Starting February 1, 2026 for new, incoming students

What Can I Do Within the Housing Portal?

  • Apply for UMaine housing
  • Update your meal plan once you have a housing assignment
  • Update emergency contacts
  • Returning students may view their fall assignment once assigned
  • First-years & transfers may view their room assignments on or after July 15th

Important Meal Plan Information

Students will not see a Resident Meal Plan option until they are assigned.

Students may view and change their meal plan on or after that date through the end of the meal plan change period, which ends two weeks into each semester.
