Test Scores Required for Graduate Admission
Many of the University of Maine Graduate Programs require applicants to submit official reports from the Graduate Record Examination (GRE), the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT), the Miller Analogies Test (MAT), or the PRAXIS.

English Proficiency Test Scores
Official English proficiency examination scores are required from international applicants unless the applicant has received a degree from an English-speaking institution. The University of Maine Graduate School accepts the following score reports sent directly from the testing agency.
In order to be considered for a Teaching Assistant position, international applicants must meet the TA minimum scores listed below.
English Language Proficiency scores are required for all international students applying to the MBA unless the student has completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in the USA or Canada (excluding Quebec province). There are no exemptions or waivers.
As of August 28, 2023, we have suspended accepting PTE Academic Online scores.
