Ruixin Niu, a candidate for Doctor of Philosophy in Interdisciplinary Studies, will be defending their dissertation titled “Pentatonic Systems in Cross-Cultural Contexts Across the Silk Roads: An Interdisciplinary Study of Musical Transmission.”
