New Writing Series – Shasta Grant

Shasta Grant is the author of the story collection Gather Us Up and Bring Us Home and the novel When We Were Feral. Winner of the Kenyon Review Short Fiction Contest, she was also a Poets & Writers Get the Word Out fellow and Kathy Fish Fellow for SmokeLong Quarterly.

The New Writing Series represents the whole spectrum of possibilities for contemporary writing, including poetry, prose, translation, and new media, with an emphasis on innovative, adventurous, and/or unduly neglected writing. In addition to giving public readings, writers often visit classes or give workshops, providing our students a sophisticated understanding of the contemporary world of creative writing.
