Erik Paulsen
Erik Paulsen is a graduate assistant working with the University of Maine Bands. He grew up in Lander, Wyoming and attended the University of Wyoming where he earned a Bachelor of Music Education degree in Music Education. Prior to his matriculation at the University of Maine, Paulsen was a teacher in the Rawlins, Wyoming school district where he taught band, music appreciation, and rock and roll studies. Erik is currently in his last semester of graduate school and will graduate with a Master’s Degree in Music Education from the University of Maine in May.
His academic pursuits include conducting, conducting pedagogy, and qualitative and quantitative research methods in music education. His research currently focuses on factors relating to marching band retention.
