Funding Support

Whether you’re looking to build new skills, advance your career, or invest in your or your team’s professional growth, financial support may be available to help reduce costs. Explore funding opportunities, scholarships, and group discounts that can make professional development and workforce training more affordable for individuals and organizations.

Harold Alfond Center for the Advancement of Maine’s Workforce has partnered with the University of Maine and industry leaders across the state to offer eligible Mainers high-quality, short-term workforce training at a significantly reduced cost.

In order to participate, your employer will need to become a Maine Workforce Development Compact (MWDC) member. The MWDC is open to all companies in Maine and can provide additional resources for small- and mid-sized companies.

MWDC member employees may be eligible for 50% matching funds—up to $1,200 annually—to help cover the cost of professional training and workforce development programs. It is estimated that 85–90% of Maine’s workforce qualifies for this funding opportunity.

To learn more about funding and eligibility, visit the MWDC website or email mccsalfondtraining@mainecc.edu.
