Michaela Hertkorn-Paeffgen is a political scientist with a masters from University of Heidelberg and a doctorate from Free University of Berlin. She also studied at Sciences Po in Paris. Dr. Hertkorn came to the US in 1997, working with the non profit Institute for Multi Track Diplomacy. She has completed a post doc with the Center for European (and Mediterranean) Studies of New York University (NYU) and the American Institute for Contemporary German Studies of Johns Hopkins University. From 2003 through 2012 Michaela Hertkorn-Paeffgen taught international relations and European studies at NYU, the New School, Seton Hall University and New Jersey City University. In addition to the US, Michaela has lived in and taught at colleges and universities in Austria, Germany and Ireland.
