Media promote talk on building equity, collaboration in shellfisheries
Centralmaine.com, the Penobscot Bay Pilot, the Sun Journal and Bangor Daily News advanced a talk highlighting the work of the Maine Shellfish Learning Network (MSLN) at 3 p.m. April 12. The Senator George J. Mitchell Center for Sustainability Solutions at the University of Maine will host the event, “Strengthening Learning, Leadership and Equity in Maine and Wabanaki Wild Shellfisheries,” which will feature research updates and discussion of policy development plans from Bridie McGreavy, UMaine assistant professor of environmental communication and leader of the MSLN, Anthony Sutton, who recently received a doctoral degree from UMaine in ecology and environmental sciences, and Gabrielle Hillyer, a current doctoral student at UMaine.
