Media feature Tyler Technologies’ new office and UMaine collaboration
WABI (CBS 5 in Bangor), Mainebiz and News Center Maine announced the grand opening of Tyler Technologies in Orono, an effort by the company to encourage greater collaboration with the University of Maine. Tyler Technologies initiated a partnership with UMaine’s Foster Center for Innovation in 2021 for the annual Maine App Challenge, allowing high school students to explore software design and development by creating a mobile app, but the company also propels students and recent graduates into internship and employment opportunities. “The University of Maine has been a source of excellent talent for Tyler over the years, particularly in the technology and engineering space. We’re confident our physical presence in Orono will further build our long-standing practice of hiring UMaine interns and graduates,” said Chris Webster, president of the company’s ERP & Civic Division.
