On Tuesday December 27th, from 4-8pm, Governor’s Restaurant in Old Town will be hosting a fundraiser for the Courageous Steps Project. 10% of sales will be donated to Courageous Steps! So enjoy a meal at Governor’s and help a local cause.
The mission of “Courageous Steps” is to raise awareness of developmental challenges for children and young adults and channels resources to enhance their success in school and in life. Their vision is to work to help people of various abilities to step courageously beyond obstacles and towards a fulfilling life.
Founded in 2014 by Connor Archer, a young adult with ASD, the Courageous Steps Project has raised over $30,000 for 25+ programs in Eastern Maine, involved 1,000+ individuals in an awareness campaign continuing to strengthen, and donated over 35 boxes of school supplies to schools in Eastern Maine. These are only some of the incredible accomplishments that Courageous Steps is proud of.
With your support, they can continue to build on their initiatives of sensory learning, charitable giving, a scholarship fund, Wishlist initiative, and back-to-school drive campaign.
