Meet Karyn

Originally from New Hampshire, I earned my bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology before  commissioning in the US Air Force. After my time in the military, my first job was in higher education where I developed a strong interest in helping others navigate their higher ed journeys, so I completed master’s degrees in Adult, Occupational, and Continuing Education and Educational Leadership.

I joined the UMaine community in 2018 and feel truly lucky to be part of such a welcoming and supportive campus. Outside the office, you can usually find me walking the UMaine trails with my German Shepherd, Grizz.
