Jason Hoyt
Manager of Events & Hospitality
Jason Hoyt was appointed to the position of Manager, Events & Hospitality in May, 2018. He is excited to work within Auxiliary Services, helping to promote the benefits of furthering both personal growth and education, as well as contributing to the greater exposure of what the University of Maine brings to our surrounding community through events, and symposiums.
Prior to joining the Events & Hospitality team, Jason worked for eight sports seasons with Black Bear Sports Properties, helping drive marketing and advertising revenue for UMaine Athletics through partnerships with businesses and agencies. His first position with the University of Maine was from 1989–1994, when he was fortunate enough to drive zamboni at Alfond Arena, including the 1992–93 NCAA Hockey National Championship season. Jason is looking forward to completing his masters at the University of Maine over the next few years.
Jason was born in Portland, Maine, and grew up in nearby Dover-Foxcroft. He is currently the Head Varsity Coach for both Boy’s and Girl’s Tennis at John Bapst High School, as well as overseeing the JV Program. Jason resides in Brewer.
