2026 Commencement
Friday, May 8 and Saturday, May 9
Alfond Arena, University of Maine
Important Dates
February 1: Deadline to apply to graduate
Missing this deadline does not prevent graduation or participation in the ceremony; to be included in the commencement ceremony program and receive guest tickets, students must apply on MaineStreet by Feb. 1. Visit the Student Records website for information about requirements and the application process.
March 25: Grad Fair | 9 a.m. – 4 p. m.
Ticket Information
After applying to graduate, students will receive information via their @maine.edu email with a form to claim the tickets. Students will each receive five (5) tickets. The initial communication explaining the ticketing process was sent in early March, with the ticket claim form to be sent on March 23. The deadline to claim these initial tickets is April 12, 2026.
After April 12, we will be able to determine if any additional tickets will be available. If so, up to a maximum of five (5) tickets can be requested. The availability of additional tickets is not a guarantee. Please consider this when inviting guests and making travel arrangements. The initial ticket request form will ask if you are interested in additional tickets (check yes or no). If yes, an additional form to request additional tickets will be sent on April 20 and tickets will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis. Should any tickets be available, they will be limited and claimed very quickly.
Guests attending the Graduate Ceremony on May 8th are not required to have tickets.
For questions regarding tickets, email um.tickets@maine.edu.
