Services and resources for UMaine students with children:
Child Care

Family housing, University Park, provided by UMaine Housing Services is located near to campus.
Non-traditional Students Association
The Non-traditional Students Association (NSA) is an organized student voice on campus for all non-traditional students, including students who are parents. NSA has annually sponsored family events such as Family Movie Night, Pizza Night, and family tickets for athletic events on campus.
Family Room/ Lactation Space
Thanks to the efforts of a group of parents on campus, a special room is located on the ground floor of Memorial Union and is available for the use of parents and their children. For moms who need to breastfeed or breast pump while on campus, this is a quiet, comfortable, and private space. The Family Room is open from 8:00 AM- 4:30 PM. To access the Family Room at other times contact Student Life at 581-1406 to make arrangements.
