UMaine Forward

Building the Future Maine Depends On

Backed by historic public and private investment, the University of Maine is building and transforming facilities across its campuses and research sites statewide to expand opportunity for students and strengthen Maine’s economy. These projects modernize classrooms, laboratories, student spaces, athletics facilities, infrastructure, and research environments that prepare students for high-demand careers and accelerate innovation for the state.

As Maine’s flagship public university — and the state’s only learner-centered R1 research university, Division I athletics institution, and land, sea and space grant university — UMaine is building the modern facilities needed to educate future leaders, attract world-class talent, and drive Maine’s innovation economy forward.
