Skip Chappelle Court at Morse Arena

The new home of Maine Basketball will combine the intimate feeling of “The Pit” with a comfortable and convenient arena where fans can enjoy games and our teams will have an unrivaled home court advantage. Over 2,600 seats nestled below a full concourse and club section will provide an enhanced in-game experience. Chairback seats with excellent, clear views of the court and extra amenities, along with easy access to concessions and restrooms, will be the new normal at Black Bear basketball games. Preferred seating with access to a new club will provide Maine fans with a true premium ticket experience. In addition, a newly created student-section tradition will increase the gameday experience along with high-definition video boards, quality audio and impressive Maine branding throughout the facility.

Football Operations Center

A key feature of Morse Arena is the Football Operations Center to support Maine Football. This will include coaches’ offices, a conference room, and staff meeting spaces. The new facility will also offer an area inside the new club space large enough to allow full team gatherings. Maine Football will have a dedicated entrance and corridor leading to the team offices and the Walt Abbott Sports Performance Center. Newly designed spaces combined with modern technology will allow our coaches to teach and train student-athletes in an enhanced setting.
