Jamie Wren
Jamie is a PhD candidate in UMaine’s Interdisciplinary Studies program, with a focus
in Anthropology, Kinesiology, and Nursing. His dissertation uses postmortem
computed tomography scans from the New Mexico Office of Medical Investigator to
examine differences in cranial bone quality between high and low-risk alcohol users.
Jamie received his BA in Anthropology from the University of Maine in 2012, and his
Masters in Public Health from the University of New England in 2015. Jamie is also a
Research Associate at the University of Maine’s Margaret Chase Smith Policy Center
where he oversees public health projects related to fatal drug overdoses and violent
deaths in Maine. Jamie is advised by Dr. Marcella Sorg.
