Raised in Texas by two public school teachers, I never imagined I’d be called to a life of ministry. I attended Wellesley College and got my undergraduate degree in American Studies and Teacher Education. I have my Master of Divinity from Iliff School of Theology. I have been a public school teacher, a bartender, a curriculum writer, a publishing associate, and a bookseller. I am now the pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Lincoln, ME. I’m a voracious reader and lover of history. I am driven by my conviction that every person deserves the time and space to discern their own spiritual beliefs, and I love that the Wilson Center is a place where that is made possible. In my free time, you can find me reading, playing with my dogs, or watching obscure British comedy shows.

Originally from Rockport, I have lived in Maine my whole life and have been in Orono since 2020. Having graduated with a BA in Anthropology in 2024, I am currently doing my Master of Fine Arts at UMaine. My artistic work is centered on how we relate to the land we live on and reconnecting people with their sense of place.
I’ve been involved at the Wilson Center since 2022, first as a volunteer, then as Program Coordinator, then as a board member, and now I am back on staff again! The Wilson Center is such an important space in our community for facilitating relationships, fostering understanding across faith traditions, and serving as a place for all kinds of people to come and learn from one another. It has been so valuable to me over the years; I am so grateful to continue to contribute to our beloved community.

After receiving my bachelor’s degree in New Media from the University of Maine in 2006, I spent several years in the newspaper industry before starting my own wedding videography business. Working in the wedding industry took me all over New England and introduced me to so many wonderful people. Telling each couple’s story in such a creative and personal way was incredibly rewarding.
As my children (and COVID) came along, I moved from filming and editing wedding videos to cooking videos. My brother-in-law, Chef Adam Libby, had a pizza video go viral on TikTok in 2021, and with the help of my wife and me, now has over 4.7M followers across all platforms. This journey as content creators has given us the opportunity to collaborate with brands and fellow creators, connect with people around the world, and, most importantly, share Adam’s inspiring story. I am now super excited to bring my creativity, compassion, and community-mindedness to The Wilson Center in my role as Operations Manager.

Hannah is a 4th-year Ecology and Environmental Sciences major from Vermont. She attends St. James Episcopal Church in Old Town. In her free time, she enjoys playing Ultimate Frisbee, hiking, and playing the violin.

I’m from Maine, and I recently graduated with Biomedical Engineering and Outdoor Leadership. What brought me to the Wilson Center was the diversity in activities and celebrations. I am grateful for all of the wonderful people I have met, opportunities to try new things, and to have grown my perspective on life. I’m passionate about wellness and cultures, and I love turning simple ingredients into meals that bring people together and celebrate the uniqueness of who we are. I look forward to celebrating with you!

Raised in the Bronx, New York, by Puerto Rican parents. I’m pursuing a master’s degree in Global Policy at the University of Maine after earning my bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Sport Management. My experiences have taken me across the nonprofit, higher education, and corporate sectors, including roles with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), Target, and the University of Maine. My interests center on food diplomacy, sports diplomacy, comparative research, and international affairs, with a long-term goal of serving in public service and the nonprofit sector.
Outside of work and academics, I enjoy hiking Maine’s various trails, supporting local businesses, or experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen. Above all, I believe in the power of community. The Wilson Center has shown me what that truly looks like: a place where people are welcomed without judgment, ideas are shared openly, and meaningful conversations create lasting connections.
Dylan Taplin (HE/HIM)

Born and raised in Ellsworth, Maine, my life has always seemed to revolve around community and connection. Throughout my younger years, I spent my free time moving my body, organizing clubs/communities, talking just a little too loudly and a little too often (depending on who you ask…)
Early on, I found a passion for both the psyche and the human body, inspired by yogis like Wim Hof and Buddhist monks like Thanissaro Bhikku (or “Ajahn Jeff”). Naturally, the science of the body and mind called me; I studied Neurobiology and Psychology at the University of Maine as an undergraduate, first chasing a career centered around empirical study of the body and mind—specifically focused on mindfulness meditation and psychedelic-assisted therapy. I recently shifted gears to clinical work and holistic medicine, and I am currently wrapping up my Master’s of Social Work at the University of Maine.
I run a yoga class and meditation group here at the Wilson Center, as well as co-hosting a Reading Group. With minimal convincing, I would also enjoy hosting an open weekly jam session (email me!). I enjoy movement of all kinds, travel, philosophy of mind, playing guitar, and backpacking. I also LOVE honey buns (the gas station kind). Hope to see you around 🙂
