Get ready for a musical experience unlike any other when singers of all levels of experience unite to perform a classic of the modern musical theatre canon.
Join Matt Goldstein, the founder and lead facilitator of Gaia Music Collective, for a one-day choir experience in partnership with University of Maine. Together, we will be belting out “Defying Gravity” in six-part harmony as we meet new friends, talk about the powerful message of this song, and sing, just for the joy of it. An opportunity to build community and raise our powerfully diverse voices as one.
No auditions. No commitment. No judgment or need for perfection. Just good people and good music.
This event is scheduled for September 15 in Minsky Recital Hall. Doors open at 5:45 PM and the show starts at 6. Registration is required, as are tickets for the performance. Admission for UMaine students is free, with tickets for all others available on a sliding scale ($25 recommended). You can find out more about all of this here.
