BDN interviews Extension’s Dill on tick season
The Bangor Daily News and the Portland Press Herald interviewed Griffin Dill, integrated pest management professional and tick lab manager at University of Maine Cooperative Extension, about tick activity this spring. “The duration of winter plays a role as well,” Dill said. “If cold winter conditions last long enough, ticks can exhaust their energy/fat reserves and fewer ticks will make it to spring.” The Piscataquis Observer shared the report from the BDN.
