Air National Guard names three UMaine employees ‘Honorary MAINEiacs’
The Air National Guard’s 101st Air Refueling Wing (ARW) named University of Maine Director of Athletics Jude Killy, School of Policy and International Affairs Director James Settele and football Director of Player Development and part-time philosophy lecturer Mike Devito “Honorary MAINEiacs,” a nod to the unit’s nickname: the “MAINEiacs.”
The trio received the honor during a brief ceremony on March 7, during which they received lapel pins to signify their honorary status. They also met with members of the 101st ARW and toured the base, strengthening the longstanding partnership between the military unit and UMaine.
